Before facing Bournemouth, Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke hinted at early team news for Chelsea's upcoming clash. Andoni Iraola will host the west Londoners at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening as both teams look to climb the Premier League table. Prior to the international break, Chelsea drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge. Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, they missed opportunities and had to settle for a point. Nonetheless, Palmer and Madueke shared pre-match graphic previews of the Cherries fixture on their Instagram stories.

Gaffer's take on Chelsea's early Premier League Fixtures

In an interview with reporters before Chelsea's fixture against Bournemouth, the manager discussed how he utilized the international break to evaluate the team's performance. According to him, while the team did concede goals in some matches, in the second fixture against Manchester City, the team limited the opponent's scoring opportunities. Similarly, in the match against Wolves, the team didn't allow any shots in the second half. He expressed optimism about the team's progress and believes they are moving in the right direction, which is the most important aspect.

Maresca shared insights on how the team utilized the international break to experiment with new strategies for the future. In addition, they focused on strengthening the defensive aspect of their game. He expressed confidence in the team's defensive abilities, citing their solid performance against Manchester City. Maresca also discussed the second game, acknowledging Chelsea's deserving victory. He emphasized that his tactical approach is centred on enhancing individual player skills to benefit the overall team performance.

"I think the three Premier League games that we played, it's true we conceded goals but it's also true that we conceded the first shot on goal against Palace and that was the goal. Against City, we did not concede many chances and that is very strange to not concede chances against City.":- Maresca stated

"Wolves, in the second half, we don't concede any shots. So I think we are in the right direction and this is the most important thing and the thing I can control. The main target is to improve players. Improving players, you are probably going to improve the team." :- Maresca added

What do the Instagram stories reflect?

Historically, this suggests that the duo will be involved in some capacity. Robert Sanchez, Benoit Badiashile, Moises Caicedo and Christopher Nkunku have done the same, hinting that they too will feature on the south coast.
