According to reports, Chelsea and Strasbourg have reached an agreement to sell their striker Deivid Washington for €21 million (£18 million/$23 million), breaking the French club's previous transfer record. Supporters, however, are aware that the Blues are reportedly paying an exorbitant price to sell an individual to their sister team, which is likewise controlled by Boehly's BlueCo.

Washington joined the Blues for €16 million (£13 million/$18 million) from Brazilian club Santos, but he has only played twenty-five minutes of play for the first team. Boehly and Chelsea have come under fire for trying to skirt Profit and Sustainability regulations by offloading young, local players for large sums of money.

They also made a £76 million ($100 million) hotel sale to get out from under Premier League sanctions. But recently UEFA has decided that asset sales to sister clubs would not be counted at all and has given more headache to the Chelsea administration.

Chelsea also send out Dorde Petrovic to Strasbourg

Due to Robert Sánchez's injury from the previous season, Đorđe Petrović had the opportunity to start as Chelsea's first choice. The youthful goalie, who played professional football in both his native Serbia as well as the United States, seized the opportunity and held onto it.

But with Sánchez coming back into the starting lineup and Chelsea adding Filip Jorgensen, a goalkeeper from Villarreal, to Stamford Bridge, Petrović found himself back at the bottom of the lineup. He is now spending the entire season on loan with BlueCo sister club RC Strasbourg in order to gain more playing time and experience.

From a statistical standpoint, Petrović's Chelsea debut season didn't appear as good as most other Premier League starters. However, he did put up a few impressive performances that demonstrated his potential to soar with the correct growth. Hopefully, he will continue down this route by moving to Strasbourg, where we can closely monitor his progress in all areas.
