Christopher Nkunku gave Chelsea the early advantage in their EFL Cup matchup with Barrow at Stamford Bridge, but Joao Felix was the true highlight of the event. For the match against the League Two team, Enzo Maresca selected a highly rotated roster, and the Blues went into the match as clear favorites. That was underlined after only eight minutes after Nkunku opened up the scoring during the encounter.

Christopher Nkunku scored again for the Blues to take the lead. Malo Gusto assisted with the second goal after Joao Felix set up the first, whipping in a hard near post cross that Nkunku skillfully flicked in. The Frenchman gave the Barrow goalie a full push before stealing the ball and putting it into the open goal. It may not be the most glamorous method to accomplish an otherwise very slick hattrick, but it indicates he’s happy about putting in the work in regards to defending in the front the way his manager desires.

On the easiest of easy evenings for Chelsea versus League Two Barrow, the hat-trick came from Christopher Nkunku, and two of those goals occurred inside the first fifteen minutes, an own-goal from Paul Farman, and a goal from Pedro Neto. Nkunku might get 20 goals alone in the cups this season by himself if he stays a backup player. He already has five, and September is not even over yet.

Manchester City triumph despite Tom Ince’s brilliant strike

Due to some confusion, Kyle Walker was unable to clear the ball. Giorgi Chakvetadze, who is 20 yards out, is the one who receives it after it drops into his path. He scored his fourth goal of the competition so far this season with a stunning curling shot into the upper corner. Even though Tom Ince's goal was outstanding, City's first-half goals from Jeremy Doku as well as Matheus Nunes are sufficient to advance them to the Carabao Cup fourth round.
