The Italian manager is expected to depart from the club at the conclusion of the current campaign, with Xabi Alonso said to be lined up as his replacement. Reports indicate that Ancelotti is set to take on the role of manager for the Brazil national team.

Famous football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided the latest insights into the development of this saga. The transfer journalist updated that both parties will proceed with the initial steps of the process following the conclusion of El Clásico.

Fabrizio Romano provided an update on Ancelotti’s negotiations to become the head coach of Brazil’s national team, with the goal of leading the Seleção until the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States. He is set to receive a grand exit following the conclusion of his second stint.

"Carlo Ancelotti’s verbal agreement with Brazil for the World Cup 2026, still valid and available to be signed. After issues on timing between CBF and Real Madrid, Carlo will proceed with exit steps after El Clásico. The Federation, waiting for Ancelotti to sign." Romano wrote.

At the moment, Carlo Ancelotti will be focused on avenging Barcelona in the season's last El Clásico. A victory is the fixture that is the only way out for Los Blancos to keep themselves in contention for the League title. Real Madrid have lost the last three El Clásicos against Barcelona this season. The first defeat came in the finals of the Super Copa De España by a scoreline of 5-2. The second defeat came at Santiago Bernabeu in the first league meeting, 4-0. Real Madrid's latest humiliation came in the finals of the Copa Del Rey, where they lost 3-2.
