FC Barcelona fans have paid the price for their racist behavior in the game against AS Monaco earlier this month. Barca fans will not be allowed to be in attendance in the upcoming Champions League away game. Barca's official handle let the fans know of the restriction from UEFA which is set to be applied on 6th November at Red Star Belgrade.

In their statement, FC Barcelona claimed that a fine of 10000 Euros has been applied on them by UEFA. They claimed that the away tickets for the fans have been withdrawn by the board due to the racist behavior of some of the fans in the match against S Monaco a few weeks back.

"FC Barcelona communicate that UEFA have applied a €10,000 fine and banned the sale of tickets for an away Champions League game due to racist behaviour by some fans during the first matchday game played by the men’s football first team at the Stade Louis II in Monaco on 19 September," claimed Barca's statement.

'FC Barcelona reject any type of justification for violence' - Barca's official statement

The statement of the club claimed that it will be applicable for the match against FK Crvena zvezda on the 6th of November in Belgrade. They confirmed that the fans who had already brought the tickets would be refunded. The Spanish club referred to the articles 3 and 4 of the Statuses.

As per them, there is no justifaction for any type of violence. These articles protect the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. They were adopted by the UN through the International Bill. It seems like the La Liga club has accepted the mistake of some of its fans. They asked the fans to behave well to not get harmed in future.

"FC Barcelona reject any type of justification for violence, and as indicated in articles 3 and 4 of the Statutes, they strive to protect and promote the Universal Declaration of Human Rights contained in the International Bill of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations," added FC Barcelona in their statement.
