Yesterday's opening of Manchester City's trial on 115 charges for alleged violations of Premier League financial regulations caused a stir in the football community. Numerous clubs will adhere to the procedure, each for their own motives. One man's loss is, after all, another man's gain. Real Madrid, in addition to the Cityzens' competitors and title rivals, will be following the case.

The Spaniard is presently regarded by many as the best midfield player in the world. Even the greatest player, for some. Without Rodri, Pep Guardiola could not picture his team. But the news that has surfaced recently will chill City's coach since Real Madrid is eager to sign the 28-year-old and prepared to pursue him the following season.

The Athletic reports that they are not shocked at Etihad Stadium. Furthermore, they are prepared to extend Rodri's deal, which runs in 2027, because they anticipate Los Blancos' approach and know that the likelihood of the Spaniard leaving would be significantly higher if they are found guilty of any of the 115 counts.

The "Holy Trinity" of Manchester City are Rodri, Phil Foden, and Erling Haaland, and the team wants to hang onto them for as long as possible. The Player of the Tournament for UEFA Euro 2024 stated a few months ago that he was content in Manchester.

Real Madrid look to sign three top Premier League players

Real Madrid intends to cement another era of dominance in European football by launching an audacious invasion of the Premier League. Prior to the summer transfer window, the four well-known Premier League players have been shortlisted by the Spanish powerhouses.

Real Madrid's main target, Trent Alexander-Arnold, is frequently mentioned in connection with a transfer to the Bernabeu. The right-back's contract with Liverpool expires at the conclusion of the current campaign, and negotiations have not been made public.  There are plans to add a new centre back elsewhere. Two of the top candidates being thought about are Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur and William Saliba of Arsenal.
