Coach Ivan Jurić of AS Roma chose to stay optimistic after his team's 1-1 draw with bottom-place Monza on Sunday. Midway in the second half, the Giallorossi, still unable to hit the back of the net, eventually broke through. But they were only ahead for nine minutes, as the home team tied the score in the 70th, leaving Roma to accept yet another sad outcome.

Over the past few days the speculation over the future of the head coach has come under scrutiny. He took over charge in a turbulent time when the board had decided to part ways with Danielle de Rossi, the club legend. However, it is now being rumoured that if Ivan Juric leaves, Danielle de Rossi might return in the capacity of the manager.

"I must say that the team satisfied me" : Ivan Juric

The former Italian midfielder said that, “Roma played a great match even if now everything seems negative,” Juric said in his post-match presser. In the first half we controlled the match on all fronts, in the second half we scored the goal but also missed other opportunities. Though, I must say that the team satisfied me in everything.”

He added, “The result is not good, it’s a shame, and even more so when we look at the penalty. However, the level of ball management has been raised. We need to raise the level of anger and aggressivity, and desire to close out the opportunities we create.”

The AS Roma head coach added by saying that, “The physical level has been raised but also in the approach to the match, Roma was beautiful and pleasant to watch. I am also very satisfied with the team’s physical condition. However, we must grow and become more aggressive in some moments of the match. In a certain sense we must dare to become aggressive beasts, not only think about dominating. If we play games like this we will go a long way. We can do beautiful things but we need to be more ruthless and tough in the decisive moments of the game.”
