Chelsea's legend, Frank Lampard expressed his surprise when he discovered that his image had been used on labels for drugs involved in a significant £38 million seizure in Australia. The authorities found 'ice meth' concealed in duffel bags in Sydney, and each brick of the substance was wrapped in plastic featuring an image of the former Chelsea player. This situation highlights the ongoing challenges in combating drug trafficking and the creative methods criminals use to evade law enforcement.

Frank Lampard's image was used as a 'Trademark'

It has come to attention that the image being referenced serves as a 'trademark' for a gang allegedly involved in drug distribution. This image features a well-known former midfielder from Chelsea, captured in a suit at Stamford Bridge while waving to fans, and is believed to be from 2017.

The individual has since addressed this revelation and expressed that he was not previously informed about the situation surrounding the use of his image. The drug shipment involving methamphetamine has been reported, originating from Los Angeles and destined for Maroubra, located in eastern Sydney. Weighing 95kg, this shipment was successfully tracked by the Australian Federal Police.

Richard Prothero, a 37-year-old from Liverpool in South West Sydney, was taken into custody in a coordinated operation at the surf club's car park on Tuesday. Authorities approached him with caution after observing him retrieve a key from beneath a car and start the engine, leading to the discovery of the drugs in his possession. He faces charges related to attempting to possess a significant amount of border-controlled drugs and did not apply for bail during his court appearance.

Lampard's take on the Case

Lampard addressed the situation, stating that he was unaware of the details surrounding the case. He has chosen not to comment further while the investigation is ongoing. "Yeah, you probably know my answer on that one, What am I going say about that? I'm not aware of it. I don't even know what to say to you, to be honest. I've literally no comment on that." he said.
