Arsenal vs Real Madrid Dream 11 fantasy team
The UEFA Champions League will be back in action with electrifying matches after a brief international break. Currently, only eight teams remain in contention at the newly restructured event, which commenced with the participation of the top 32 clubs from across Europe. The first of the four quarter-final fixtures will feature the reigning champions the Real Madrid, clashing against Premier League club Arsenal at the Emirates.
The Galacticos are in pursuit of their 16th European crown, while Arsenal is looking to claim its first. Both sides are known for their very distinct forms of gameplay. While Arsenal is known for its possession-based play style, Real Madrid is often more direct and based on quick, slick counters. This matchup is set to be a notable contest in the Champions League quarter-finals, featuring two prominent teams with large fan bases.

The reigning champions didn't get off to the best of a start in this season. The Galacticos haven't been at their best, having lost their last La Liga fixture against relegation-prone Valencia. Although the club still remains in contention for a treble, the players will have to punch above their weight to bag silverware this season. Real Madrid also lost 3 matches against the likes of AC Milan, LOSC and Liverpool in the round-robin stage of the UCL. The quarter-finals are not going to be a cakewalk for Los Blancos as they continue to struggle with multiple injury woes and out-of-form players.
Arsenal got off to a good start in the current season and were even vying for the Premier League title. However, the injury of some key players, coupled with a few bad results, has made it impossible for them to claim a domestic title this season. Arsenal crashed out of the FA Cup after losing to Manchester United on penalties. Arsenal also failed to make it into the finals of the Carabao Cup, having lost to Newcastle United in the semifinals. Even in the absence of key players, the Gunners will be a formidable threat to Real Madrid, particularly in set pieces. Although the hosts are expected to defend in numbers against Los Blancos, Arsenal forwards are expected to exploit Real Madrid's rugged defence line.
