Arsenal sets sights on making a blockbuster signing next summer

This summer, the Gunners had refrained himself from making any major signings and instead focused on mid-level deals for players like Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino. 

With Champions League funds at their disposal, Arsenal is expected to make a significant move next summer, with many anticipating a big signing in the striker position.

However, there are also rumors linking Arsenal to a top young German midfield player, in the likes of Florian Witz, suggesting they may opt for an elite creative midfielder instead.

Arsenal has its sights on Florian Wirtz 

According to Christian Falk, the talented midfielder is looking to leave B04 next summer in pursuit of new challenges and the opportunity to compete for titles, including the Champions League, and potentially contend for the Ballon d’Or.

Leverkusen is expected to ask for over €150m for Wirtz in the summer of 2025, although a transfer fee slightly above €100m wouldn't be surprising.

If Arsenal wants to secure Wirtz's signing, they will need to compete with top clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City. Arsenal have to use this season to assert their dominance among Europe's elite.

What are the odds of Wirtz landing at Arsenal ?

If one takes a more practical approach to this potential transfer, the chances of Fritz landing at Arsenal appear rather bleak. Fritz is going to have the luxury of going anywhere he wants next summer, and his choice is expected to revolve around the club's chances of winning a silverware. 

Other giants like Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid are in a better place to promise Writz, a shot at the accolades.

In order for Arsenal to secure the signing of Wirtz and convince his entourage that this is the ideal club for him, they must either clinch the Premier League title or make a strong impression in the Champions League this season.

If the Gunners can topple Manchester City, become the victors of the Premier League this season, and have a decent run in the Champions League, the club would be in an ideal position to make a better appeal to the German and add him to the roster in pursuit of world domination.
