Julian Alvarez spoke about his future in Manchester City. The star player was in the press conference ahead of Argentina's match against Ukraine at the Paris Olympics. While Alvarez was ready to answer the questions related to Argentina, the question popped up about his future at City. The 24-year-old acknowledged the hype around his choice.

Alvarez claimed that his focus was on the Olympics which he considered to be a short tournament. The star player added that he feels very good at City. He felt the right time to talk about his future in the club would be after the tournament. Alvarez claimed to take a bit of time away from the Sport and decide about his future at Manchester City.

"At Manchester City, I feel very good, I played a lot of minutes. But we will see after the Games. First, if I can, I will take a few days off. Then we will decide," said Julian in the interview. He added that it was not ideal to miss out on big games and felt happy to have had a good season with City. "Maybe it's annoying to be out in big games, players always want to help on the pitch," added Alvarez in the interview.

Pep Guardiola aware of Julian Alvarez's decision

In May 2024, Manchester United beat City in the FA Cup final. Julian was rested for the game due to an injury. Reports claim that he could potentially move to Atletico Madrid. In an interview, Pep Guardiola spoke about the future of Julian. Pep revealed that he was aware of the future of Alvarez and spoke about the attitude of the players in general.

Guardiola said that City has about 18-19 players who want to play important games just like the Argentine. Pep replied to the statement of Alvarez. He said that it would be fine if the star player took his time to reveal his decision to stay with City. On the 9th of August, the Football final is set to take place at the Olympics. Argentina would be hoping to win the gold.
