Yesterday, she won Bronze in the 10m air pistol individual event. The match against South Korea was indulged in a roller-coaster of emotions, with India taking an early lead. Bhaker and Singh started strong, putting India ahead by 14-6. Bhaker's performance was particularly impressive, consistently scoring high and demonstrating her precision and control. At one critical juncture, her score of 10.5 exemplified her exceptional marksmanship.

South Korea fought back in the last moments!

In the subsequent rounds, the Indian pair faced a dip in their scores, failing to hit a single 10 or above, which allowed South Korea to narrow the gap. The score tightened to 14-8, and then to 14-10, with the South Korean team relentlessly closing in. Despite these challenges, Bhaker and Singh maintained their composure, knowing that the bronze medal was within reach.
In a nail-biting finale, the South Korean team managed only a score of 18.5, while India scored 19.6. Despite this narrow margin, Bhaker and Singh's cumulative performance was enough to secure the bronze medal for India, a testament to their determination and skill.
This victory is not just a personal triumph for Bhaker and Singh but a significant milestone for Indian shooting sports. It is worth noting that Bhaker will now participate in another event i.e. 25m Air Pistol women individual on August 2.
