Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr is set to compete with Al-Hilal for the potential signing of Ansu Fati from Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window, according to reports from Fichajes. Fati, who has been with Barcelona since 2012, progressed through the youth system and made his senior debut in 2020.
Once regarded as one of the brightest prospects at Camp Nou, Ansu Fati has accumulated 119 appearances for the first team, scoring 29 goals and contributing ten assists. Last season, he went to the Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion on loan, where he netted four goals and providing one assist in 27 appearances.
Fati's miserable performance under Flick
Since returning to Catalonia from Brighton earlier this summer, the Spanish forward has faced challenges in establishing himself under Hansi Flick.
This season, Fati has made seven appearances for Barcelona, contributing 158 minutes across various competitions. He has encountered some roadblocks with playing time having been plagued with injuries.
Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal to tussle for Fati
With 2025 marking a possible transition point for the youngster, two giant clubs from the Saudi Pro League have shown interest.
As per reports of some sources, Saudi Club giants Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are interested on acquiring the services of the Spanish attacker. Although, he is currently sidelined with a muscle injury, his contract with the Catalan club is set to run until the summer of 2027.
In addition to Fati’s situation, there is speculation surrounding former Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres, who may also be looking to leave the Camp Nou in the upcoming summer transfer windows.
