Gaming saves lives? (Image - X)
An Xbox Series S console managed to save someone’s life after a person was run over by a truck with the console in his bag. While injuries were present, both the person and console came out of the ordeal alive. The story went viral across social media, attracting attention from Xbox, who sent their best wishes while also offering to send another console.
Brandon J, on his X (Twitter) post, explained the entire incident about how he got into that situation while returning from GameStop after making the purchase. “I was on my way home from my local GameStop with the Xbox in my backpack when I was struck by a truck while riding my bicycle. I managed to keep above the truck's steel bumper at first, but I eventually was dragged under,” Brandon wrote.
The driver kept on going, with Brandon assuming he had no idea a person was being dragged along. Talking about how the Xbox console saved his life, he said, “At this point my bike wedged my right leg so I couldn’t move it anywhere. Next thing I know, my backpack was only hanging on by my left shoulder and was slammed into the curb along with me afterwards.”

A miraculous save thanks to Xbox console
Thankfully, Brandon was soon rushed to the hospital and revealed he only had a single broken bone and a few road rashes. As for the Xbox, he shared an image showing a similar condition as him. To his surprise, after he tried to turn on the console, it fired up and was working properly.
“I thought the Xbox was a goner, but It started up with no hesitation at all and runs games surprisingly well considering what it went through. If the Xbox wasn’t in my bag at the time, a lot more could have happened,” he added.
Xbox and GameStop offer new console
The official Xbox account and GameStop wished Brandon a speedy recover after that intense experience, with the company offering another console, which is fair as this might be the best endorsement they received this year.
We're so glad that you're safe and hope the recovery is going well 💚
