The $1 trial for Xbox Game Pass is back, giving players complete access to all games for 14 days, including the day one games and EA Play membership. This feature was previously removed ahead of the release of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 in order to boost sales for full price Game Pass subscription.

Black Ops 6 was the biggest day one release for Xbox and was quite successful, with the CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadella revealing the game brought record subscribers to the Game Pass. Speaking of day one release, Stalker 2 Heart of Chernobyl was also a day one release on Game Pass, which is also quite popular.

The company usually removes the trial feature ahead of big released like these, as 14 days is enough for anyone to complete multiple games. This was also not the first time the trial was removed. Thankfully, the restriction is no off and those who are on an even tighter budget can at least play the campaigns for Black Ops 6, Stalker 2 or other popular releases.

Is Game Pass worth getting?

Following the 14-day trial, players will be charged the regular price of $11.99 each month. Considering the price compared to what is being offered, the Game Pass can be a good alternative for people who want to play different games.

Another two big games set to release on Game Pass are Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Avowed. Do note that games not by the Xbox studios usually are there for a limited time and are replaced with new games to keep the catalogue fresh. Those who plan on playing only a few games in the long run would likely be better off purchasing them on sale rather than the subscription model.
