Call of Duty (COD) Black Ops 6 is set to release in just over a week, and Xbox has now disabled the 14-day trial for the Game Pass. This applies to both the PC and console versions, and players will at least need to purchase the Game Pass at full price to play Black Ops 6.

For those who don’t know, apart from the physical and digital purchase, COD Black Ops 6 will also be available on Xbox Game Pass Day 1. This means instead of paying $70, players can simply get a subscription and play the game for much cheaper.

Xbox Game Pass trial and why was it removed?

This isn’t the first time Xbox has decided to remove the trial, as it is a usual occurrence for any big release that is also coming to the Game Pass. The trial version, which costs $1 or Rs 50 in India, provides full access to the player for 14 days, allowing them to play any game in the library. This offer is available to all new subscribers, but as mentioned previously, it is disabled during any major release.

As for why it is disabled, the reason behind is to simply prevent people from exploiting the $1 trial version to play one of the most anticipated games. This time, it is Black Ops 6 which is already brewing up a large amount of hype among COD fans.

Those wondering how much they will have to pay with the trial gone, it is $11.99 or Rs 449 for PC users which includes all the games including the upcoming COD Black Ops 6. For consoles, however, it can get a little confusing as there are different tiers and Microsoft recently made changes.

The Core Game Pass costs $9.99 is the cheapest option and does NOT include a Day 1 game release like Black Ops 6. To play the game on release, players either need to purchase the Standard version for $14.99 or the Ultimate version for $19.99.
