‘We all had different goals’ - Mavi explains the reason behind disband of Global Esports

Global Esports disbanding following an early elimination from BMPS 2024 came as a huge shock to the fans. The team’s IGL Mavi recently went live and fans flooded him with questions regarding the decision. Responding to them, he revealed that the decision to disband was taken mutually, as the team had internal issues due to having a slightly different goal.

The announcement came a few days ago when players were spotted wishing each other good luck in their Instagram stories. Following that, NinjaBoi went live and further confirmed the fact, although, it seems the contract still has some duration left.

Mavi in his stream now revealed the reason behind players not moving forward with Global Esports. He revealed that the cost of maintaining the roster was too high, leading to the non-renewal of the contract moving forward. This was understandable as the team consisted of high-profile players.

He also revealed that the team was having internal issues, but he clarified that this was not due to a fight among players. Their relationship has not been affected in any way but was there due to everyone having a different direction in mind. This was also not something new and has been going on since BGIS.

Will the old Global Esports roster stick together?

With Mavi revealing each player had a different goal in their mind, It is unlikely that they will move on to the same new team. This will most likely be the end of one of the most iconic BGMI rosters since the game was unbanned last year. Although, things can change.

Currently, there are a lot of roster swaps going on in the BGMI scene and with the BMPS 2024concluding this month, fans might see the players from Global Esports settle with different teams or maybe even create a team of their own.
