The second set of quarter-finalists at the FC24 Esports World Cup did not disappoint, as Young and AbuMakkah matched their counterpart to put up an incredible fight against their opponents, not giving them any opening to come even close. While Young managed an incredible win, AbuMakkah somehow managed to top that.

A close fight turns into a dominating victory for Young as he dismantles the hopes of his opponent in the second half. The opening half saw both players on equal terms before Young brought tin back to back goals to gain a massive lead over Vejrgang.

It seems like the majority of focus for Young was to leave the defence loose and give his all in attack, which worked out pretty well. One by one, he managed to bring the scoreline to 8-2 and closed the game with a total of 9 goals. Vejrgang managed to muster a few himself, but wasn’t able to match his opponent.

AbuMakkah makes good use of second chance

Four goals in the first half was enough to tell AbuMakkah was announcing himself as a valid threat at the tournament by taking down the top player from Group B. nicolas99fc did not even get a chance to fight back as AbuMakkah made the entire game look one-sided. It seems the cheer from local fans worked too well to boost his morale.

It was hard to believe in such a big change overnight. AbuMakkah who struggled in the group stages made a huge comeback in the Resurrection Stage and brought the aura into the quarterfinals. To add salt to the wounds, AbuMakkah went on to secure another four goals in the second half to close the game with 8-0 scoreline in one of the most dominating matches at FC24 Esports World Cup.
