One of the Game Designers at Valorant has now announced that changes to Iso are underway with the 9.0 update. This comes as a result of community outcry regarding how powerful the Agent has become in the hands of a decent player.
Just over a week back, a professional Valorant player for NRG, Demon1, showcased how powerful Iso's rework was in the hand of a professional. In the clip, fans saw Demon1 surviving many hits that he should not, have had if it wasn’t for the changes Riot Games did in Patch 8.11.

The update sought to bring Iso up in the pick rate by making his abilities viable. Instead, the changes to his kit made him almost invincible, even against some of the most fearsome weapons inside the game.
Iso changes coming with Patch 9.0
Patch 8.11 saw a decrease in his charges from two to one, however, to compensate for that, players would get one chargeback after two kills. With the upcoming fix, the number of charges will remain one, but Iso will not get the ability to charge back after two kills.
Furthermore, the duration of the Double Tap (E) ability is also reduced from 20 seconds to 12 seconds. “Removing the reset gives Iso just one activation, and reducing the duration should create a clearer window for opponents to deny him fights,” Penguin said.
A lot of fans claimed that the nerfs are too much and will likely drop the pick rate for Iso once again after players are finally having fun. Instead of completely removing the charge return, they could have increased the kill count for returning the charge. The new patch is set to drop on June 25 for PC and will bring other balance changes For Valorant console players, the same changes will roll out a bit later with patch 9.01.
