The Chennai-based company has announced an impressive lineup of four major international CS2 tournaments to be held across the country, boasting a cumulative prize pool of INR 14.68 Crore ($1.75 million). This move underscores Skyesports' commitment to establishing India as a pivotal hub for world-class esports events.

The schedule for these landmark tournaments is as follows:

1.       Skyesports Souvenir 2025: February 17 to 23, 2025, with a prize pool of $250,000 (INR 2.09 Crore).

2.       Skyesports Masters 2025: May 26 to June 1, 2025, featuring a prize pool of $500,000 (INR 4.12 Crore).

The Skyesports Masters 2025, Skyesports Championship 2025, and Skyesports World Tour 2025 are recognized as Tier 1 events, a significant accolade given their substantial prize pools and the elite nature of the teams participating. These events mark a historic first for India, hosting Tier 1 CS2 competitions and drawing global esports organizations to compete on Indian soil.

“We will be hosting all four events in India”, says Skyesports CEO

Skyesports' Founder and CEO, Shiva Nandy, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “Our vision since inception in 2018 was to create indigenous IPs and bring international players and teams to India. The 2025 CS2 esports roadmap is a testament to that as we will be hosting all four events in India, with global teams participating. These tournaments will not only strengthen Skyesports’ position as a global esports brand but also showcase India as a crucial market for world-class international esports events.”

Adding to the excitement, the three Tier 1 events will include Open Qualifiers, allowing grassroots players from India, Europe, North and South America, and Asia to compete for a spot in these prestigious tournaments.

Sudarshan S, Head of PC Esports at Skyesports, emphasized the importance of this inclusion: “Being an India-based esports company, we can ensure that local esports players are given a platform to showcase their skills and compete in the biggest CS2 events of the world. Additionally, we believe in the power of grassroots and that’s why we will be hosting open qualifiers across different regions globally.”
