Sentinels and Leviatán have started the Valorant Champions Playoffs by sending their opponents to the lower brackets. Leviatán clashed with G2 Esports and came out victorious, while the same went for Sentinels, who took down GRX. Both teams saw a few hiccups but ultimately managed to prevail.

The Playoffs came as a fresh start for both teams after almost returning home in the group stages. Both Leviatán and Sentinels faced a crushing defeat in their opening games but managed to secure back-to-back wins to make their way into the Playoffs.

Sentinels started on Sunset and while they were able to secure multiple rounds, DRX was also squeezing rounds to keep things competitive. Right when the team was about to top end the first game, DRX made a huge recovery to force overtime. Since Valorant has a unique overtime system, fans braced themselves for some intense fight, however, this time, Sentinels swiftly closed the game.

This led the teams to a third game, with DRX fighting for another chance to secure the Semifinals. The match started the same with both teams on equal terms, but Sentinels followed up with a dominating second half to close the game early. Zekken remained the primary reason for their success against DRX, with 54 kills across both games.

Leviatán avoiding previous mistakes

With a not so incredible start in the Valorant Champions, Leviatán has also come a long way. Their opening game against G2 Esports saw them start weak, but make a bug recovery. G2 managed to force an overtime, but it did not save them from the inevitable.

The following game saw Leviatán dominate G2 Esports in their map pick, turning the tables on the team. Fans were surely expecting a recovery from G2, but it did not happen as the team only secured a single round in the second half. However, the team is still not in the clear as they will now have to face Team Heretics, who previously handed them their first defeat.
