Sentinels have now knocked out GenG Esports from the Valorant Champions race after defeating them in the Decider Match of the Group Stage. The win comes as a sweet revenge to Sentinels, who were previously defeated by GenG in the opening game and sent to the elimination bracket.

Luckily, Sentinels survived and met GenG once again in the decider match. This was thanks to Team Heretics taking down GenG in the winners' match and giving Sentinels an opportunity for a payback which they utilized well.

GenG managed to put up a decent fight at the start of the opening match, but Sentinels soon put a stop to their run thanks to Zekken and Zellsis. The second half saw Sentinels bring the game into match point and for a moment, there was hope for GenG to take overtime, however, their opponents closed the match.

This brought the team to the second game, which would either be GenG’s last game or the team would manage to take the game into a decider. The match saw a similar pace from both teams at the beginning, but GenG failed the defending side, giving an easy win to Sentinels.

Fnatic also secured Playoffs

Group A on the other hand saw Fnatic clash with KRÜ Esports in an intense matchup and managed to make their way into the Playoffs. KRÜ Esports alongside GenG will now be returning home from the Valorant Champions 2024 and will try their luck next year.

Group C and D will see the final two teams qualify for the Playoffs. Leviatán is facing Team Vitality as the last stand, while EDward Gaming will go against Paper Rex to decide which team will keep competing at the event for the million-dollar prize pool.
