Samsung, an electronics giant, may be developing a portable gaming console of its own. The current folding screen technology that Samsung has used in its Galaxy Fold and Flip phones may be included in this console, according to a recently found patent.
Although several firms have rival handheld gaming consoles, the advent of smartphones with cutting-edge technology and free apps appeared to temporarily reduce their appeal. Systems like the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and the PlayStation Portal have joined the Nintendo Switch, which was once one of the only widely used portable gaming devices.
The design of the device, which, when placed flat, resembles a Nintendo Switch, is depicted in several technical drawings included in the application. The device's apparent ability to fold in half, however, makes it special. Given that it is shorter than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, the gadget, when closed, resembles a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
Samsung hasn't hinted at creating a portable gaming
Although the design has certainly improved with each generation, Samsung folding screen phone owners have occasionally complained about issues with the hinges, a key part of the folding screen design. Since game consoles are frequently abused by younger users, that can affect the company's desire to create one.
