Nintendo recently posted asking fans not to let their pets get a hold of their precious Nintendo Switch device, as it can get damaged from their bite or drool. While it is highly recommended that users do not let their pets get a hold of the Switch, it’s confusing for fans to see the company post it years after release.

Advertisment

“When you take your eyes off it, your pet turns your Nintendo Switch into a toy! By the time you notice, it's already covered in drool. Pet saliva and urine can cause the device to malfunction due to water exposure. If you have pets, be careful about where you place your Switch,” the post wrote.

It makes everyone wonder if the company is getting similar complaints in high quantity. Nintendo Switch was released back in 2017 and has been in circulation for seven years. The handheld console was a major success thanks to its ability to let players play the game anywhere and had some incredible games.

Most recently, fans are now anticipating the Switch 2 which is rumoured to be released next year. Nintendo has already acknowledged its existence, however, the announcement day or release are yet to be revealed.

Years after Switch was released, many others have released their own handheld devices which are much more powerful. In order to keep up with the competition, a new device was inevitable. While the news regarding Switch 2 is scarce, the company did clarify that the upcoming device will be backwards compatible.

Fans are grateful for Nintendo’s advice

Nintendo Switch users were of course very grateful to the company for this advice. Sadly, in most cases, the deed was already done five or six years ago, revealing stories that they have learned from their past mistakes.
