Since fans got their first look at GTA 6 there have been multiple rumours claims floating around regarding the game which also includes the map size. The trailer made it pretty clear that we will be returning to what looked like a modern times Vice City.
However, the original Vice City was much smaller in scale and the opening shot from GTA 6 itself made it pretty clear that the map is much larger in scale while also keeping the iconic location from the previous game. Multiple reports have now cited that GTA 6 will feature an evolving map.
What’s an evolving map, you say? Some suggest that the entire map will change dynamically, the building that usually remain under construction may finish one day, or players may see landscape changes. Few more suggest that the map itself will be expanded to further enhance the new GTA Online.
However, it is hard to tell which will it be. With how long the game has been in development, there is a possibility that players may see both. After all, everyone is expecting the game to run for another 10 years before they actually see GTA 7.

Was Red Dead Redemption 2 a prototype for GTA 6?
Red Dead Redemption 2 has received a lot of praise for its story and graphics, however, that isn’t the only noticeable thing. People have noticed that the NPC and animals have their own day and night activity cycles along with dynamic environment have fans believing RDR2 was prep work. Of course, every game is prep work to make the next one better.
As for expanding the map in scale, it is not uncommon to see the developers add new regions to the game with a DLC update. Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty last year added Dogtown to the game in an area which was previously inaccessible.
Live service games are no stranger to expansions and usually provide new areas with major updates. A great example are popular gacha games like Genshin Impact. Still, there hasn't been any official word from the developers about the game, and most likely won’t be till next year. All the information across the internet still remains rumours or insider information.
