Out of all the ways for a game reveal, no one expected one of the most anticipated ports of a classic to come through the PlayStation Store. The original Red Dead Redemption has yet to see an official PC release and recently, there have been rumours going around about a port being developed for PC.
Fans were further convinced after a recent leak from EpicDB which revealed the download size of the game. Now, some eagle-eyed fans have noted a bizarre yet hope-filled statement on the PlayStation store page for Red Dead Redemption.
Noted by Wario64, the page read, “Experience the epic western adventures that defined a generation—now on PC for the first time ever”. Only this much was enough to create a buzz in the gaming community, after all, one of the long-awaited games is landing on PC, but there was more.
“Featuring the complete single-player experiences of both games, including bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition, Red Dead Redemption features all of the 2023 console version upgrades plus PC-specific enhancements including support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound*” the statement further added.
PlayStation Store make quick changes
Similar to how EpicDB went offline after the discovery of Red Dead Redemption game file size, the PlayStation Store description also saw changes. The statement has since been removed from the Store page and replaced with a generic description of the game.

However, the screenshots of the previous description remained and while it might be an error from either Rockstar Games or PlayStation, the possibility of a PC port is going higher. Fans are now convinced that an official port for the game is getting ready for launch and may even see the light of day this year itself. All that remains is the official announcement from Rockstar Games.
