PS5 Slim will get a hefty price cut for Black Friday sale

A new YouTube video by Sony revealed the PlayStation 5 Slim or PS5 Digital will be getting a $70 price cut for the holidays. Set to start before Black Friday, the sale will end on December 24, a day ahead of Christmas, with the console available at $380 down from the regular $450 price tag.

Unfortunately, the video has since been taken down but, the people reporting are pretty sure of the price cut. Hopefully, the takedown was to fix something or will be re-released ahead of the sale. People who still plan to have physical copies of their games can get the PS5 Slim and separate disc dive to save a little more than the regular PS5.

The PS5 Slim is also a better option if there is a sale as the Slim provides better storage, similar performance, and a lot more features than the regular PS5. Do note that a good deal for those who are yet to move on to the new generation consoles as in terms of raw performance it will match the PS5. Black Friday is on November 29 this year and related sales are expected to start soon.

Will PS5 Pro also go on sale?

However, this creates another question. What if other consoles are also on sale? This is another possibility. Maybe the users want the latest and greatest and eyeing the PS5 Pro. Although it is hard to imagine it going on sale this early, you never know.

The PS5 Pro features a much better GPU, which gives a decent boost in GPU-heavy games. Paired with the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) players can see further uplift in performance. If the console does go on a bundle sale, it may be worth checking out. Unfortunately for Indian fans, this is not a possibility as the console is not available in India.
