Palworld to add all new hardcore game mode in Feybreak update

A recent surprise announcement of the addition of a hardcore game mode in Palworld have got fans excited as they plan to challenge themselves to survive higher difficulty.

Palworld is set to introduce a massive update, ‘Feybreak’ on December 23 featuring an all new island, gameplay mechanics, pals, weapons and more. However, fans are more excited about the hardcore game mode devs are adding with the update, giving players another layer of challenge they have been asking for a while.

As per the developer Pocket Pair, the upcoming update will be the largest content Palworld has ever received. The announcement for hardcore mode, however, came as a surprise as it wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the teaser but was announced with the update countdown.

At the moment, it is currently unknown how different or difficult the hardcore game mode will be. Will players need a completely new start, or they will be able to toggle the difficulty, the devs say all will be revealed with the release. As per the Global Community Manager at Pocketpair “Hardcore mode for the big boys” so fans are accepting a challenge.

However, it is to be noted that the hardcore mode is simply a small aspect coming with the update. The new island is claimed to be six times bigger than the Sakurajima update and will be featuring new dungeons, raid bosses, and a lot more pals to capture.

Palworld devs do not intend to slow down

While Feybreak may be the last major update for Palworld in 2024, the developers have no plans to slow down the updates and quality-of-life changes. 2025 is also set to bring Terraria collab to Palworld and fans are quite excited for what’s to come.

The developers have promised that they will not let anything stop them from making the game one of the best monster-catching experiences. Even the Nintendo lawsuit that forced Pocket Pair to remove the ball-throwing mechanics to capture or summon pals.
