Olivier Courtemarche has announced himself as the new PlayStation Studios Head of the Mobile Department. Olivier worked as the Co-Head after Nicola Sebastiani departed from the company in June 2023. He has experience working for Zynga, Disney, Meta, and Electronics Arts. Following the announcement, many giants of the industry congratulated him for the new role.

Even outside of the PlayStation Studios, Olivier has experience working for Star Wars and Marvel. Earlier this week, he took to social media to confirm his new role. Olivier was wished by the likes of Arno Schmitz, Andrew Icce, and Jon-Paul Dumont wished him. As the announcement of Firewalk Studios and Neon Koi happened from Sony, the new appointment has taken place.

Firewalk Studios previously worked for Concord and Neon Koi was working on an undisclosed mobile app. Hermen Hulst recently confirmed that the shutting down of these companies was to ensure the strengthening of the Sony Business Group. He felt the need to focus on the pedigree and potential of the company.

"We need to focus on the titles that are in line with PlayStation Studios' pedigree and the potential to reach more players," said Hulst in a conference. So far in 2024, some of the most popular projects like 'Astrobot' were released by the PlayStation Studios. It received several nominations.

Astrobot was nominated for Best Art Direction, Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Audio Design, Best Family Game, Best Game Direction, and Best Score and Music for a Game. On the 14th of November, 'Lego Horizon Adventures' was launched. There is also another change in a big role in the PlayStation Studio, which was announced recently.

Justin Kobiak took to LinkedIn and announced himself as the new head of the Mobile Development and Partnerships department. Justin previously worked as the chief of licensing and developer partnerships for mobile. His previous roles included working for companies like Konami. EA, Disney, Samsung, and so on. The change in roles has been met with a good reaction from the Gaming world.
