Every gamer know the Nvidia RTX 50 series graphics card are not going to be cheap. However, a new pricing leak for the RTX 5080 suggest that the prices are quite steep. With a rumoured price of $1,600, players will be paying $400 more compared to the RTX 4080 16GB variant.
The new series of Blackwell graphics card are all set to feature GDDR7 VRAM, which is a huge upgrade. Paired with rumours of new gen Ray Tracing cores and DLSS 4, the prices match up with the recent accidental listing of RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 series pre-built PCs.
Of course, all of these are simply leaks and the price will ultimately be revealed during the card reveal which are expected in January during CES 2025. The first announcements are expected for the 5080 along with 5090. Various reports also suggest that RTX 5070 might also be revealed during the CES, while the 5060 and 5060 Ti will be announced sometime during February.

Will the RTX 50 series worth the price?
Nvidia is already famous for its aggressive pricing as they remain the sole competitor in the market. AMD has been dominating on the CPU market but for the GPU, they also fail to compete with features like DLSS and Ray Tracing.
As for the newest entry in the GPU market, Intel’s Battlemage GPU provides a significant upgrade over the previous generation on an enticing price. However, the company is yet to create a card challenging the high tier of Nvidia cards like the 5080 or 5080 Ti.
In conclusion, while Nvidia does provide a better product, it has been criticized for its pricing since the last few years. Furthermore, the RTX 40 series had some questionable decision regarding the builds of graphics card. Despite that, people will probably purchase them, even on an overblown price.
