One of the best in-game leaders (IGL) of Counter-Strike in North America, Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella, is back for some CS2 action with NRG. The announcement for Captain America joining their roster was made yesterday with a welcome video.

This is the second time the player is making a comeback in the scene. Before this, he made a return to the scene with Team Liquid before returning to Valorant for a short duration with M80. The news regarding nitr0's return was already in the air as the player himself announced it but was still deciding where to land.

With his entry into NRG, nitr0 replaced Walco to once again join his former team member and AWPer Joshua “oSee” Ohm and coach Damian “daps” Steele from Team Liquid. NRG has been struggling even in the lower leagues for quite some time now. nitr0 boasts a very healthy record in leadership, and NRG is likely looking to get back into the scene with him onboard.

BLEED Esports brings in nexa

On the other side of the town, Bleed Esports have benched faveN and brought in nexa who also recently parted ways with G2 Esports recently after his short stint with them. Nexa also faced criticism from G2 fans alongside Hooxi for having the lowest impact on the team’s entire performance. He was replaced by Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa from M80, while Hooxi was replaced by Snax.

Bleed have also seen some huge changes across their line-up, especially after they entered the Counter-Strike scene at the end of 2023. During this time, Bleed also failed to see much success similar to NRG and has been struggling among tier 3 teams. The team also recently signed jkaem and nawwk and is likely looking to increase their firepower going ahead.
