Former Intel Grand Slam winner and one of the star players in the North American Counter-Strike scene, Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella, is returning to CS2 once again after some time in the Valorant competitive scene and is reportedly in talks with multiple orgs in the NA.

The news was first broken by Dust2.us. Nitr0 was inactive for the last few weeks on his Valorant roster, and it seems like the player is back for good this time. He previously returned to CS with Team Liquid back in 2022, but things did not seem to work both professionally and personally as Nitr0 also revealed the constant travelling also added to the departure

He returned to the Valorant scene with M80 for a short run before stepping down. “VALORANT was not what I expected it to be, and I didn't see a future for myself. CS is home and with the lack of IGLs in NA, this is where I belong. I still have a lot to offer to NA CS and I can't wait to give CS2 everything I have,” he said speaking to Dust2.

Nitr0’s re-debut org remains a mystery

As per the reports, Nitr0 is in talks with multiple orgs, but no one has any idea which one he will land on. His previous return was with Liquid, who since have made a roster around non-US players, same goes with Cloud9 who also picked up the old CIS roster Gambit Esports.

He has also proved himself as one of the best CS players during the glory days of Team Liquid with other popular names in the team like Stewie2K and EliGE. The team took down some of the big names at the time to take home multiple LAN trophies. It will be interesting to see where he lands this time.
