After finishing the Norse Mythology arc, Kratos is reportedly headed towards Egypt. New rumours claim that the next instalment in the God of War franchise is set around Egyptian Mythology. As per the report, Sony is casing Middle Eastern actors for a new game and speculations point towards God of War.
The information comes from VISCERAL on X (Twitter) via a popular industry insider ‘Daniel Richtman’ on Patreon. “Sony is casting Middle Eastern actors for an unknown AAA game, which is likely to be the next God of War that explores Egyptian mythology,” the post reads.

Starting from Greek Mythology and moving onto Norse, it’s not hard to see the connection here. While the story has shifted to a more emotional experience, the God of War is always facing other powerful gods, which is a feature of Egyptian mythology.
This move also allows Sony Santa Monica to craft a completely new experience, something gamers loved in the 2018 God of War. The sequel along with the Valhalla expansions also saw similar success across both PS5 and PC releases leaving fans craving more.
