NaVi and MOUZ now move on to the IEM Rio 2024 Semifinals after besting their opponents Virtus.pro and Team Vitality. While NaVi has been on a roll this year, MOUZ has made incredible progress after multiple tournament upsets. The matches were not easy, however, as MOUZ faced the current number two team in CS2 Team Vitality.

Both teams will now face the top teams from the Group Stage, FURIA Esports and Heroic. The results are also quite interesting as only one team from Group B, Heroic, now remains in the Playoffs, while the remaining three teams qualified through Group A.

An easy win for NaVi

Despite having the crowd support, Virtus.pro once again faced a loss against NaVi. The start itself was not great, as even after securing the pistol round, they lost to a force buy which gave their opponents 6 back-to-back rounds that led to a 3-9 score.

What’s even astonishing is that the same happened in the second half as Virtus.pro again secured the pistol round only to lose and eventually lose the map. The following map saw a huge improvement, however, that also wasn’t enough to pull them into the third map.

Incredible convert from MOUZ

The match between Team Vitality and MOUZ was quite interesting and much more intense. Following an early loss on Mirage, MOUZ made an incredible recovery. The team already features good players but saw themselves pushed back in recent tournaments.

Fans were not sure what would happen as the team lost their map pick, but they managed to take down Team Vitality after an intense game. Vitality did have an incredible chance to force overtime and reset things, but Torzsi managed to clutch the victory.

The decider went a similar way, with MOUZ dominating in the first half before Team Vitality made a comeback, but once again missed a golden chance to take the match into overtime as their opponents were in the lead.
