Narrative-driven adventure game ‘MindsEye’ by GTA producer gets new trailer and release date

The former producer behind the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) series, ‘Leslie Benzies’ is set to release ‘MindsEye’ on June 10th and pre-orders are now live. This will be his first title after parting with Rockstar Games which is defined as a narrative-based action-adventure title, the game explores a sci-fi theme with a heavy focus on the story.

“Play as Jacob Diaz, a former soldier fitted with The MindsEye, a mysterious neural implant that haunts him with fragmented memories of a covert mission that changed his life forever. Fight to uncover the truth in a world where AI, high-tech experimentation, and unchecked military power shape every encounter,” the game description reads.

MindsEye isn’t an open-world game

Many would think that the producer behind the GTA series would explore an open-world title, however, this isn’t the case here. Open-world games can be a lot complex to make and with his background, expecations of the fans would have been much higher which could spell trouble for the debut game from his studio.

Besides, the GTA series isn’t the only game Benzies worked on during his time at Rockstar as he was also the Executive producer for Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire, and Max Payne 3. Looking at the action-packed trailer for MindsEye, it’s safe to presume the game will be fine.

Pre-orders for the game are now also available and the game does seem to be reasonably priced, at least in India with a price tag of Rs 2,400. What’s more, is that pre-orders will also give players the deluxe edition upgrade for free, featuring some cosmetics and extra missions and challenges spread across different quarters.
