The Esports World Cup is set to commence in just a few hours with one of the most popular esports titles across mobile devices, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and a popular title across PC gamers Call of Duty: Warzone on July 3, 2024.

Ahead of that, the Esports World Cup saw a huge opening ceremony featuring interviews with various gamers and experts in the gaming industry who will be present at the Esports World Cup as hosts, desk analysts and various other roles.

At the end of the opening ceremony, there was also a dance performance before the trophy reveal alongside a huge firework and an aerial drone show, which honestly looked quite amazing despite all the controversies surrounding the event.

Call of Duty: Warzone World Cup 2024

Call of Duty was the last game to make an appearance at the Esports World Cup, and it brought two events featuring a combined prize pool of $3 million. The Warzone event is set to commence on July 3 and features 21 teams fighting for a $1 million prize pool.

The other event for CoD is the Modern Warfare III event, featuring 16 teams and a prize pool of $1.8 million. This event will commence on August 15. CoD is also the only game after MLBB to feature multiple events at the Esports World Cup.
