Marvel Rivals Spring Festival introduces a new limited-time game mode

Weeks after the Winter Celebration, Marvel Rivals is set to bring a new event to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year featuring a new game mode and free cosmetics.

If the launch of season 1 wasn’t enough, Marvel Rivals is set to bring the Spring Festival Event featuring a new game mode and free cosmetic rewards. The featured game mode ‘Clash of Dancing Lions’ closely resembles Lúcioball from Overwatch and Rocket League but instead of cars, it’s the Marvel superheroes playing football.

The announcement was made via the official X (Twitter) account. “May the golden lion's mane guide your fortune and bring you strength this season. Join the celebration now and let the magic of the Spring Festival unfold!” the post wrote.

Marvel Rivals Spring Festival Event will begin on January 23 and the trailer showcased the upcoming game mode while also revealing three new cosmetics for Iron Fist, Black Widow, and Star-Lord, Players will also get the new Star-Lord skin, Nameplate, and a few more items for free. Along with that, there is also a Gallery Card Customization Event called ‘Fortune & Colors’.

Second Marvel Rivals event just weeks after the first

This will be the second in-game event inside Marvel Rivals after the winter holiday celebration last year in December, which also introduced a limited-time event and free cosmetics rewards. If the frequency of the events remains consistent, players will get a lot more this year. Once again, fans have appreciated the effort from the developers.

There is, however, no information on when the event will conclude. Speculations suggest that the Spring Festival Event will run for at least the remaining month as the Lunar New Year 2025 is on January 29. Even after the event concludes, there will be a lot to do with the arrival of the next two characters from Fantastic 4.

Season 1 saw a massive release introducing the entire cast of Fantastic 4 and a new all-time peak player count. The first half of the season only brought Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic. Next up is Human Torch and The Thing.
