With each passing day, gamers are getting closer and closer to GTA 6 release and now one person has shared what the best day of 2025 is going to look like. Surely everyone would have guessed, it’s the day Rockstar releases GTA 6. While there is no release date just yet, one can easily assume that a lot of sick leaves are bound to happen.
“Lining up to grab the first copy, calling in sick for a few days, junk food, and gaming all day” is a common way to describe some of the most anticipated game releases. Games like World of Warcraft (Expansions), Legend of Zelda BOTW, Baldur’s Gate 3, and many more saw their fair share of day-offs on release and the same will happen with GTA 6.
The post shared by ‘spyroz545’ also depicts the same vibes and surely enough many people do agree. Not just a day, people are preparing to call off the entire week to play the game. Although we are talking about Redditors, there’s a good chance others will also follow the same. One event suggested to stay away from social media on release.
“We should go full analog when the game comes out. We shouldn’t even open any social media apps, because spoilers will be everywhere, even when you’re just looking for something that is not even closely related to the game,” the user wrote.

GTA 6 delay might ruin the plans
Currently, there’s only one way this mass ‘sick-leaves’ can be prevented, and that is a delay in GTA 6 release. ‘Prevent’ might be the wrong word here as the game will eventually come out. All one can do is delay, which may happen, considering the scope of the game.
However, there is some conflicting information going around. Industry experts say that Rockstar will delay GTA 6, on the other hand, the publisher and most recently, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Rockstar Games, Georgio Jankowski, posted that 2025 is kicking off as one of the most exciting years for Rockstar.
