If the Day 1 performance wasn’t enough of a warning for other teams, Global Esports have now made it plenty clear that they mean business. Soon after, IQOO Soul secured their second chicken dinner and became the first team at BGIS 2024 Grand Finals to do so, Global Esports managed to do the same.

The team is now the second team with two chicken dinners at the Grand Finals. However, they are now the new points record holder. Previously, IQOO Soul managed to secure a 25-point chicken dinner that boosted them on top of the leaderboard. Global Esports promptly chased the same score in the closing match of Day 1, but weren’t able to break it.

With their second win, the team has now secured a second chicken dinner with a total of 28 points out of which, 18 were finisher points. This was a much-needed win for the team after a terrible performance on the first two matches of Day 2. If we look closely, the team also had the same start on Day 1.

Beast and NinjaBoi were once again the main contributors with six and five kills, while Mavi and Slug were great support with three and four kills. With this win, the team have also snatched the crown from Soul, further matches will tell the whole story.

Bottom eight teams at BGIS Grand Finals have yet to step up

Once again, the leaderboard position has been changing among the top eight teams as others are still struggling. Some of the fans' favourites like Carnival Gaming and Team Tamilas have yet to step up their game as the time to secure points is running out.

The second day is also very crucial for the teams as the better standing they go into the final day of BGIS, the lower pressure they will be able to focus on either the finisher points or position points. Those who are struggling will need both and can face some hard times.
