Global Esports lead the way for eight teams going into BGIS 2024 grand finals

Semifinals Week 1 for Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024 has concluded after four intense day, and we now have our first eight teams qualifying for the grand finals. Over the course of four days, we saw a surprise disqualification alongside various comebacks from multiple teams.

 BGIS Semifinals Week 1 Overview

Team XSpark who managed to retain the top spot on the first three days were overtaken by Global Esports who initially had a very rough start, landing at the 18th spot out of 32 teams. However, with each day, the team climbed the leaderboard, ultimately overtaking Team XSpark.

At the end of week 1, Global Esports took the lead among qualifying teams, showcasing some great performance. Such was the case with few other teams like Team Tamilas and Team SouL who also did not give up.

MOGO Esports, on the other hand, had an opposite run and missed their first chance to qualify directly and will now have to try in the semifinals in Week 2. The top eight teams have directly qualified for the grand finals, while the remaining 24 will move on to the semifinal week 2 where all teams will get another shot at the remaining eight spots in the grand finals.
