G2 Esports knocks out Team Spirit to secure CS2 Esports World Cup semifinals

G2 makes their way into the CS2 Esports World Cup semifinals after taking down Team Spirit. The roster change for the team is going well so far with more to come.

The new players for G2 Esports are holding their own as the team have managed to take down Team Spirit and moved into the CS2 Esports World Cup semifinals. This was the second encounter between G2 and Spirit, and G2 have managed to equalize the score after the previous loss.

The first game took us to Mirage, where fans saw G2 dominating from the start. Their latest fragger malbsMd was right beside the star player Niko on every step. The first half ended with a 9-3 score in favour of G2, and things weren’t looking great for Spirit. As expected, even after a few great rounds, Spirit failed to close the gap.

With the first map going to G2, it was do or die for Team Spirit. The next game was on Nuke, where Snax activated after a slow start in the first game. His 1v3 clutch against Spirit made the crowd alive. G2 were the first to reach match point, however, Spirit took the game to overtime and manage to clinch the win.

The Decider game was a total annihilation from G2 Esports as malbsMd displayed why he was picked by the team. The first half went similar to the opening match and as expected, Spirit once again failed to close the gap and were sent home by their opponents. G2 moves to semifinals and will be facing the winner from Team Vitality Vs Virtus.pro.

FURIA Esports makes their way into Playoffs

After a crushing loss against NaVi in the opening stage, Furia was left fending for themselves among seven other teams in the Resurrection Stage. The team went off to defeat FlyQuest, in the opening round and faced a tough opponent in the next match, Sashi Esport, who took the game into double overtime but could not manage to defeat Furia.

The final game was against The MongolZ that went by without any hitch for Furia to qualify for the Playoffs. The team will now be facing MOUZ. MongolZ fans on the other hand were left disappointed after their incredible run.
