After securing a direct spot in the CS2 ESL Pro League Season 20 quarterfinals, G2 Esports and NaVi have managed to secure their respective games and will now face each other in the semifinals. This will be the second time G2 will face NaVi with their new IGL Snax following their previous defeat at the Esports World Cup grand final.
The matchup between G2 Esports and NaVi remains one of the most awaited matches among the fans. However, G2 has yet to secure a win against their nemesis in the last seven matches, including no wins against NaVi in 2024.
The quarterfinals saw them against Team Liquid, with Monesy dropping 50+ kills for G2 Esports and securing the match MVP. The latest addition to the team malbsMd who replaced Nexa also lived up to the hype, the firepower for Snax however, seems a little low which can be a disadvantage against NaVi.

NaVi takes down Team Spirit after a streak of losses
While NaVi has been dominating G2 in their matchups, they were yet to take down Team Spirit this year with four back-to-back losses that made them miss the IEM Dallas 2024 playoffs and left them in second spot at BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024.
Now the team have finally managed to take down Spirit and remove them from the ESL Pro League Playoffs after a dominating victory. As usual, jL was popping off this time with iM, who was previously criticized for not matching up to the team and bit who was one of the top additions to the team when Simple was in action.
The other side of the semifinals will see Eternal Fire against MIBR in another intense matchup. Eternal Fire is currently looking much more dominating after taking down The MongolZ and Team Vitality.
