Fortnite celebrates 2025 with various in-game event

As 2024 came to a close, Fortnite has brought a new mini-event to celebrate new year inside the game if you’re still busy grinding ranks. Despite Holidays, Epics Games did not forget to the new year’s celebration. Those who missed the event also don’t need to worry too much as the event is taking place every hour.

First introduced back during the 2018 New Year's Eve, the event has been running each year as a tradition and sure enough, Epic wasn’t planning on skipping this year. In order to watch the fireworks go off, simply load into a match inside Fortnite Chapter 6 Island. Do note that the celebration starts every hour, so make sure to load a few minutes into the match.

Once the celebration starts, the giant ball drops and the celebration begins and players are also forced to dance on the beat celebrating the arrival of 2025. However, that isn’t all there is for New Year’s celebration, as more event are planned by Epic Games.

Times Square Island Fortnite Event

Along with the regular celebration, there is also a new Times Square Island featuring multiple new activities and side quests. These include, The Ball Drop, Taxi Race, Prop Hunt, and the Parkour Course. There are also various cosmetics to try out inside the mode and while they are only available inside the game mode, they are a great way to get into the celebration vibe.

As for the side quests, players can find various NPCs that will provide them tasks to complete. Completing these tasks will grand players XP to level up Fortnite Chapter 6 Battle Pass. The tasks are quite simple, so it’s a great way to level up the pass by a few ranks.
