Epic Games partners with Telefonica to make Fortnite more accessible

Countries in the European Union will soon have an easier way to play Fortnite Mobile after a recent deal between Epic Games and telecommunications company, Telefonica.

Playing Fortnite Mobile has been a bit of a hassle for many with external downloads from the official website and while it isn’t hat complex, it does take a little bit more time compared to a direct download from the Google Play Store. Thankfully, Epics Games have now planned to make the process simple, at least for gamers in the European Union countries.

A recent deal between Epic Games and Telefónica, a European telecommunications company, has resulted in pre-install of the Epic Games Store app on android devices across multiple countries with Telefónica customers. These include, the UK, Germany, Spain and Spanish-speaking Latin American countries.

“Players will now be able to more easily download Fortnite, Fall Guys and Rocket League Sideswipe as well as third party games in the future. This is just the beginning, and over the next year the companies plan to expand the partnership and bring more benefits to mobile players across the Telefónica network,” Epic Games said in their statement.

One less step to install Fortnite Mobile

This partnership comes as incredible new for Fortnite fans across the European Union countries. All they need to do now is log into the Epic Games Store app and install Fortnite, similar to the Google Play Store. There will be no more worry about external downloads.

Although for those who are outside the European Union countries or aren’t a Telefónica customer, we have a guide on how to download and install Epic Games Store on their Android devices in a few simple steps.

As for why Fortnite isn’t available in the Play Store, that was a result of violations of the store's terms of use resulting in a lengthy battle between Google and Epic Games, which seems to going in favour of Epic as of now.
