All you need to know about Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1

The latest Fortnite Chapter is here and brings a new map and weapons. Nicknamed 鬼 HUNTERS (Demon Hunters), the Chapter 6 Season 1 comes with a Japanese Ninja theme and adds new movement options, allowing players much more creative freedom on traversals and combat.

Players will also face a new enemy, Shogun X that will drop the Wanderer Medallion giving players infinite stamina and invisibility while sprinting. In terms of scale, the update is quite big as the entire map for Fortnite Chapter 6 is filled with various new point of interests ranging from traditional Japanese architecture to moderns cities and magical forest. New movement

Possibly the biggest addition, players now have the option for various new movement mechanics. These include Ledge Jump, Roll Landing, Wall Kick, and Wall Scramble that can be used to travel around or in combat to outplay your opponents. All of these individual movements can also be combined with each other to create a chain of impressive movement.

• Ledge Jump - Allows players to perform a Ledge Jump by simply sprinting towards a ledge and pressing the jump key while close to the ledge. This help players to reach even farther than the normal jump.
• Roll Landing - While dropping from a height, holding Jump or tapping it just before hitting the ground will allow players to do a barrel roll and restore stamina.
• Wall Kick - Wall kick let players use a vertical surface to push them in the other direction. Simply jump on a vertical surface and face the direction to get launched into.
• Wall Scramble - Advanced wall climbing technique that allows players to reach a ledge higher than normal. Simply sprint towards the wall and jump. Wall Scramble can be cancelled by pressing jump once again.

New weapons and items

Similar to every new season in Fortnite, this one also brings a variety of in-game items with the same theme. This time, the weapons will be a bit futuristic. These include Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Fury Assault Rifle, Veiled Precision SMG, Surgefire SMG, Sentinel Pump, Twinfire Auto Shotgun, and Oni Shotgun.

Weapons also remain hitscan meaning players need not worry about adjusting their aim and bullet drop and simply aim and shoot. This can be both an advantage if used properly or a disadvantage if other use it properly.

If players want to have the true feeling of being a ninja, the Typhoon Blade is just the weapon for them, allowing them to perform rapid strikes and reduce stamina cost while sprinting. Additionally, players will run faster while wielding the Blade.

Apart from these two weapons, there are also various items that can be found during the match. These include the Fire Oni Mask and Void Oni Mask dropped by lesser demons. Fire Oni Mask will allow players to shoot projectiles, while Void Oni Mask will allow teleportation.

Sprites and Boons

Air Sprites can be thrown to create an updraft wind vortex that can send players flying with a glider redeploy. Water Sprites, on the other hand, can be thrown to create a healing fountain that restores health and shields to nearby players. The last one is, Earth Sprites, which will consume items players them in exchange for a reward. There are also different boons that will allow users various buffs which can come very hand.

• Fire Boon - Reload your weapons faster.
• Void Boon - Eliminating players reveals other players nearby.
• Wind Boon - Move faster while your Pickaxe is equipped. 
• Water Boon - Swimming grants Health and Shields to yourself and nearby swimming squadmates.
