Leviatán has been one of the strongest teams at the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2024 Americas Stage 2 who recently handed Evil Geniuses their fourth loss at the event. With this win, the team is now also tied with Sentinels for a 3-0 score on the Stage 2 leaderboard in their respective group.

The team is currently on the top of the overall scoreboard with 7 wins and a single loss during Stage 1 against Cloud9 and still has two more matches to go against LOUD and FURIA Esports. At this point, Leviatán has already secured their spot into the higher seeds in the Playoffs.

Sentinels, on the other hand, have also qualified for the playoffs but will be competing against G2 Esports for a higher seed. A win for the Sentinels will guarantee their spot in the upper bracket semifinals, while a loss may see them land in the quarterfinals.

Stage 2 goes as easy as it can for Leviatán

With powerhouses like kiNgg and aspas in the mix, Leviatán has been breezing through the VCT Americas Stage 2. All of their matches have been one-sided with the opponents not being able to make a move apart from a few of the matches of the opponents’ choice which did give them a bit of a hard time, however, it was nothing the team couldn’t handle.

A few other teams are still struggling to make it into the top six going to the Playoffs with Evil Geniuses NRG and LOUD currently in the red. Week 3 and Week 4 matches will finalize who is moving to the Playoffs and who will return home.

Apart from that, FURIA Esports and MIBR are now out of the race. MIBR had a disaster of a run after bringing together almost a new roster just days before the tournament. The team haven’t been able to secure a single win at VCT Americas Stage 2.
