The Esports World Cup Club Championship has seen an electrifying fan base worldwide. After two weeks of intense competition, Saudi Arabian powerhouse Team Falcons have emerged as the frontrunners. Their remarkable performances across multiple games have earned them a commanding lead in the standings.

Team Falcons solidified their top position by clinching the gold in Free Fire, earning 1,000 points on Sunday night. This victory added to their impressive tally, which already included 600 points from their stellar performance in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

These achievements, combined with their triumph in Call of Duty: Warzone during the opening week, have propelled them to an impressive 2,600 points, establishing a significant lead in the Club Championship.

Selangor Red Giants clinched second position

Chasing them are the Selangor Red Giants, who secured a dramatic 4-3 victory over Team Falcons in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang final. This thrilling best-of-seven match awarded them 1,000 points, placing them firmly in second place.

South Korean giants T1, driven by the legendary player Faker, showcased their dominance in League of Legends, which earned them 1,000 points and the third spot in the standings. Meanwhile, another Saudi team, Twisted Minds, secured 350 points in Warzone, placing them in joint eighth.

Faisal bin Homran, the chief product officer of the Esports World Cup, praised the high calibre of competition and the captivating matches that have taken place so far. He highlighted the exceptional skills displayed by the players, which have not only thrilled the live audience at SEF Arena in Boulevard Riyadh City but also engaged millions of online viewers worldwide.

What is the Esports World Cup Club Championship?

The eight-week Esports World Cup, featuring a diverse array of 22 global competitions across 21 leading games, is set to continue until August 25. With a record-breaking prize pool of $60 million, it is the largest in esports history. Over 1,500 players from more than 60 nationalities are competing, showcasing their talents and battling for supremacy.

As week three kicks off, fans eagerly await the upcoming contests in Dota2 Riyadh Masters, Counter-Strike 2, and PUBG Mobile, promising more thrilling action and unforgettable moments.
