Chinese PUBG Mobile star Zhu ‘Paraboy’ Bocheng have found a new home with JD Esports. As per reports, JD Esports acquired the two-times PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) winner for a whopping $759,000 (Rs 6.3 crore) from Nova Esports.

A few weeks back, Nova Esports announced listing Paraboy for transfer with a price tag of $965,000. This came after a rough 2023 with not much success for the team as multiple old players left. Paraboy himself was reportedly planning to shift orgs for a change of pace and environment, as he has also been with the team for the last four years.

The price was also quite justified for a player possessing that much skill and achievements, including two-time PUBG Mobile Global Championship and over 2,000 eliminations in the Peacekeeper Elite League, events along with several other high-stakes titles.

A new journey begins for both Paraboy and JD Esports

Multiple esports orgs in the PUBG Mobile scene including Weibo Gaming and JD Esports were reportedly eyeing Paraboy to add him to their roster. However, JD Esports managed to outbid others and secure the superstar.

The org has been struggling in the PUBG Mobile scene for some time now and has yet to see a major achievement. With Paraboy on the roster, the org took a huge financial bet. However, with his track record, JD Esports will now be able to compete on an even higher level and see some success very soon starting with the upcoming Peacekeeper Elite League, Summer 2024.

During his time with Nova Esports, Paraboy helped the org secure $6.5 million, with individual earnings currently reaching over $1.3 million. While the transfer price didn’t reach the price tag, $759,000 is no joke and is one of the highest across the esports industry.
