Elon Musk called out by Path of Exile 2 community for using a boosted account

Elon Musk has once again been criticized following another live stream where he played Path of Exile 2 on his high-level hardcore character. However, his gameplay skills were once again put into question by veteran players after he was spotted failing to do basic tasks and called out that his account was boosted by someone else.

Path of Exile 2 has been quite popular since its release last year and has been among the top five games on Steam. Being a direct competitor to Activision’s Diablo 4, Elon previously claimed to be the best player of, he also hopped on the hype train. However, it seems that the PoE community isn’t as forgiving.

This discussion started from Twitch streamer Quin69 who watched a portion of Elon’s stream and pointed out several odd things. From the beginning, Quin69 pointed out how Elon was trying to open a greyed-out map, which can happen, similar to this occurred with Elon doing things that level 95 players typically wouldn’t while running maps.

Further down the stream, Elon managed to enter the map, but with a full inventory. That’s strike two as people will usually dump inventory before and sometimes even while running the map if needed. A simple theory was that Elon gave the account to someone else who ranked for him to show off.

Other things include under-leveled gear, dragging things in and out of inventory, and no loot filters for some reason which is a must in higher levels to filter out unwanted stuff and currency items. It was quite obvious that while he knew how to play the game in general, he wasn’t the one that brought it up to level 95 in a hardcore league where a single death means game over.

As one would expect, the Patch of Exile community was making fun of him to try and pull a fast one. The game itself is quite complex and every currency is valuable considering how strong crafting inside the game is. Players who play the game from the beginning usually create a habit that is lacking in Elon’s gameplay.
