Gamers will also learn more about the extensive playtesting and may get a chance to try the game before release. Details regarding the new Battlefield game are already scarce, thankfully people won’t have to wait much longer as the announcement will be via a live stream on February 3 (around 9:30 PM IST).

New Battlefield game going back to roots

We already know that the next Battlefield is receiving heavy focus as EA deployed its largest team to work on the game. The game will be returning to its roots which inspired several new games, while we don’t know what that means, everyone’s hoping to get an idea of what the game is all about soon.

The game is headed by ‘Vince Zampella’ who has a decent track record of shipping games with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 and 2 during his time with Activision. While working with EA, Zampella released the Titanfall series which is widely popular along with Apex Legends, and the Star Wars Jedi series. People hope he will also bring the same energy to the Battlefield franchise.

How to join Battlefield community testing?

While the playtests for Battlefield have been going on for a few months, they were only available to people registered for Electronic Arts Playtesting. These playtests were done on both small and large scale which may have given a lot of players a chance to test out the game and report bugs and further improvements.

The Battlefield community testing program announcement will likely be an open invite and may be a good way to try the game. Do note that these testing programs are usually done to get feedback from players so don’t be surprised if there are a lot of glitches as it will be an alpha build of the game.
